This week I was out in the field to shadow a couple of the full time appraisers. It was primarily single family and duplexes this week. We also did some virtual reassessments as usual and did a little more training in the office.

This week we were out in the field doing in-person reassessments. In short the process is a week prior to visiting the property we call and send a postcard letting the owner know we are coming by for reassessment, they also have the option to schedule at an exact time. […]

This week we worked a lot more with the GIS software, did some more training, and learned how to digitally “sketch” properties and put them into they system. We also went through some more procedure stuff. Other then that it has continued to be a fun work environment, learning a lot!
