My name is Declan Roddy and I am from Oak Creek, Wisconsin. It’s currently the summer before my senior year at UW-Stout and I was lucky enough to land an internship with Weidner Apartment Homes. This summer I will be working at Stitchweld, an apartment complex located in Bay View, a neighborhood of Milwaukee.
Stitchweld is a 291 unit apartment complex comprised of four buildings. We offer 17 different floor plans ranging from studios to three bedrooms. Right off of Kinnickinnic Avenue, our property is extremely walkable and close to a lot of diverse shops, cafes, and restaurants.
My first week interning with Weidner Apartments was a bit of a roller coaster. From traveling between properties to learning how to give an apartment tour, there was never a dull moment. It’s safe to say that I’ve learned more during my initial few days than I ever thought possible. I’m excited to put all that I’ve learned from the classroom into practice in the field. I’m eager to learn all that there is to know about large scale property management, and I know that at Stitchweld I’ll be able to do just that!
