Throughout the summer, I was encouraged by some of the agents at my firm and my employers to get my license before the summer was over so that I could practice real estate, and so that I would have a foot in the door when I graduate from school. Over the course of a couple months, I completed my pre-license course, and then received my license a few weeks later. Doing this allows me to practice real estate before graduation, but it also grants me the ability to collect commissions through referrals.
