Any student completing an internship through the University of Wisconsin Stout is responsible for coming up with 5 learning goals to be worked on through the course of their internship. One of my learning goals was to become adept at using CRM software in a property management context. I’m happy to report that my internship at Weidner’s Stitchweld location has taught me just that.
Here at Stitchweld we use two CRM programs. We use Yardi Voyager Plus to handle much of our day to day operations. Some examples of what we use this software for include scheduling property tours with prospects, constructing leases, and handling day to day resident communications.
The other CRM software we use is YardiOne. This software is used more so for behind the scenes operations. Examples of what we use this software for include posting units to the market, drafting summary reports, and scheduling maintenance walkthroughs.
At first, learning to use CRM software was a bit complicated. I found the software to be overly user friendly to the point of being even more confusing than it otherwise would have been. However, after a few weeks of using these different CRM softwares it is coming to me much easier now. I’m really glad that through my internship with weidner apartments I am able to develop these career long skills such as using CRM tools effectively.
