With week 7 of my internship coming to a close, a lot of things are starting to become clear for me. After I graduate college I realize that this may very well be my life for the next few years, and that thrills me. I have had a great time learning that that I can with Weidner during my internship this summer, and I am excited to continue growing through classroom curriculum this Fall.
This week I was told that should I want it, there is a strong possibility I could attain a Manager in Training position set to start at the end of my senior year. Once again, the MIT program is a year long program through Weidner which takes college graduates and gets them ready to manage properties of their own. I know that I have my sights set far beyond being a manager of a single property my entire career, however it would be a thrilling place to start.
One of my colleagues recently told me that one year working for weidner is like two years working for any other company with how much responsibility Weidner property managers hold. This idea really excites me because I know if I were to be offered a MIT position, it would be an outstanding leap forward for my career in property management.
