On May 27th, I began my internship at Kleinman Realty as an Assistant Portfolio Manager. Kleinman is a growing third-party management company with nearly a century of experience in the industry. Over the past four weeks, I’ve had the opportunity to engage in a wide variety of tasks and gain hands-on experience across multiple areas of property management. While my primary workspace is the corporate office, I frequently spend time in the field throughout the metro area conducting building and unit inspections. I’ve also had the chance to shadow several property managers—accompanying them on property tours, pest inspections, and working with platforms like iLoveLeasing, as well as assisting with their day-to-day responsibilities. In addition, I’ve been able to shadow the portfolio managers, observing how they support and communicate with property managers, grounds staff, and maintenance teams. Each day brings something new, and as everyone here says, no two days are ever the same!
