The word of the week is aesthetics. Aesthetically appealing properties are important in property management because no one wants to rent, visit, or own a property building that is not pleasing to the eye. Weeds in the lawn and landscaping must be pulled and diminished. Grass must be cut, watered, and maintained. Dead and/or overgrown shrubs must be replaced with a professional landscape layout. This week I was in charge of inspecting our Bob & Steve’s buildings. I took notes on all areas that needed updating. I managed the crew and we pulled weeds, replaced shrubs, and top-dressed mulch and landscape rock. Look around this week and notice what apartment buildings, gas stations, shopping centers, coffee shops, and restaurants have a nicely maintained outside appearance. These are the buildings that most consumers want to visit to spend their time and money.
