Canceling Move Ins

We had a 1 bedroom leased up 3 weeks prior to the ready move in date. The apartment was set to move in the next day and the tenant canceled the day before. Then the tenant had the nerve to ask for her security deposit. The tenant hadn’t responded in weeks after putting the security deposit down and just canceled the day before move in. Needless to say, we’re keeping the security deposit.
