Since the start of my internship I was given a computer system already set up with all the software and programs needed for completing my day-to-day tasks. Because the computer that I was given was set with one of the appraisers, Josh’s, credentials I had to wipe the computer clean to reset the credentials to have general information so that the computer can be used by me and possible future interns. This week I have slowed my workload down because installing a computer with all of the software takes up a lot of time. I’ve learned how to start from scratch and all the software it takes to construct an effective appraisal system. Being on the phone with tech support and learning how to create a computer system from the ground up has given me some real world experience on how to help yourself and how to start from nothing.
