When trying to lease an apartment home, it is very important to create urgency for the prospect to get their application in. When you are able to create urgency in people, they are forced to make a decision quicker and are more likely to choose your community. If you do not make the situation sound urgent, they may think they have all the time in the world to decide whether or not to live there. Urgency can be created easily by letting them know that there has been a lot of interest on that particular layout of home, or reminding them that this is the last home of this layout left for the time being. This was easy to do for us this summer, because the homes were leasing very quickly, so I was able to just tell them honestly the amount of interest on the homes, and it caused people to apply quicker than if they did not think it was urgent.
