I have been helping with the maintenance team at my property lately trying to see their side of things. Our property in Minneapolis is a refurbished historical building which means most floors have completely different floor plans. This can cause some interesting situations for maintenance. We had a work order to replace a fire alarm battery which usually is no big deal. But this unit we encountered on the 9th floor had an alarm that was over 20 feet high. Not sure what the developers were thinking. Not to mention we did not have a ladder tall enough. Thankfully a nice resident at the property let us borrow their ladder.
