This week I started learning the process that the appraisers go through when appraising a property. I learned how to do a neighborhood, site, and zoning description. I started working with Trevor (a Stout graduate) on finding asking rents and comparables for two properties he’s appraising in Anoka and Shakopee. On Thursday I went on an inspection to look at the common spaces of an apartment complex in Edina called Nolan Mains. I have included a picture of the main entrance to Nolan Mains and a picture of the lobby. Then the next morning I went on another inspection to an office/warehouse property. I finished the week by looking for comparables for the warehouse property on Costar and the company’s database.
