This week at Whispering Cedars was incredibly eventful. There were a couple of shocking situations that took place. I was able to watch how our community director handled the curveballs that were thrown at her. It has showed me how truly unpredictable the property management industry is. This week, I also had one of my first leases move in! It was fun to be able to watch the process from a tour I gave to receiving the application and eventually them moving into their apartment home. In some of my free time this past week, I started to make welcome home letters for our move-ins this month. This past Wednesday we had an intern event at Top Golf with some people from the corporate office in Kirkland. It was super fun to learn how to golf while getting to know the other interns and employees!
A portion of your Real Estate Property Management coursework includes Cooperative Education. These intern positions apply your classroom knowledge in a professional work setting, where you’ll gain confidence in your skills and abilities.
You’ll build a stronger resume with the work experience employers need and may have a position in place before graduating. Many students receive a job offer from their Co-op employer for a full-time position following graduation.
