For the next two weeks, I will be working with the Property Manager. This first week, I was shown how to use the software Yardi to create purchase orders and submit invoices. I was also given the opportunity to plan a resident event. The Property Manager gave me a few guidelines to follow and allowed me to handle the hiring of all vendors. The event is called Night to Unite and we had a bouncy house, yard games, face painting, and pizza. The event is so our community can connect with the people who serve them. The police liaison for our community joined us during the event to talk with the residents and foster a good relationship with them. It was a great learning experience for me to have been given the responsibility to plan an entire event and handle all vendor relations.
