This is my team (Jack & Andrew) both Stout graduates. I have learned so much in such a short period of time from these young skilled professionals about the property management industry. This week is my fourth to last week with Weidner apartment homes at 7west and it has been my pleaser getting to know these talented individuals. All I have to say is WOW!!! This summer is really flying by like nothing. This week my team and I dove into legal aspects of the apartment management industry. Andrew, my community director showed me more of the internal work he does for this property with documentation, deposit accounting, contractor/vendor liens, and even personnel issues with residents he deals with on a day to day basis. This was very interesting because I actually got to see the entire process of residents moving in and moving out and what it looks like. I even got to do my own walk-through inspection on a move-out (taking pictures & documenting the wellness of the property). From there I was able to do a deposit accounting for a few apartments meaning I decided what the residents would get back from their security deposit after they have moved out. This was very interesting because I got to see the start to finish process all at once. This week I leased 3 more apartments and got to see what the make-ready process looks like for maintenance meaning turning the apartments and having them ready for residents moving in during a short period of time. Overall, I have had a great week and learned so much from my awesome team!
