The interns got to attend the MIT meeting at corporate. We got to learn a lot more about the MIT program. We played a little game with starbursts to learn more about each other. We learned about how MITs come from all different walks of life. Not all are straight out of college. They told us about the different stages of the MIT process. How you go from learning everything there to know about leasing to maintenance to housekeeping to ground to administrative work to going to a property that you help run then to having your own property.
A portion of your Real Estate Property Management coursework includes Cooperative Education. These intern positions apply your classroom knowledge in a professional work setting, where you’ll gain confidence in your skills and abilities.
You’ll build a stronger resume with the work experience employers need and may have a position in place before graduating. Many students receive a job offer from their Co-op employer for a full-time position following graduation.
