For the past couple of weeks, the office staff at my property has been going out in the morning with our maintenance supervisor and cleaning up the grounds. This includes picking up any trash that we see, even down to every cigarette that is on the ground, or tiny pieces of trash. Some days are worse than others, but over time it has gotten better and better. People are not littering as much as they were because there is not as much trash on the ground, so they realize how obvious their piece of trash will be. The other day, after seeing the same man every morning while out and he is out walking his dogs, he thanked us for going out there and doing that. He said he had not seen the community look so good in a long time. He was very appreciative to have us helping out, because to him that was his home, and he wanted it to look nice.
