When we have a residence who has given us a notice to move out, we do pre-walk inspections generally two-three weeks before their move out date. We conduct these in order to see what we might need to fix in the apartment to “turn it” in the near future. This helps us budget for each turn, and it also prepares our maintenance team for what they may need to do for our upcoming schedule/apartment status summary. An important reminder before we can conduct these pre-walks is to ensure we give a notice of 48 hours before entering the apartment.
