Wow, that was fast! The second week of my internship is already over! This past week consisted of many different tasks. I started to get the hang of the CRM and Yardi software as well as a lot of the other underlying tasks of a leasing consultant… taking phone calls, sending emails, and showing people around our community. I’ve also been introduced to some of the behind-the-scenes work. I started to learn and understand the process of move-outs or evictions and what needs to happen before the unit can come back on the market again. On top of that, I’ve also been keeping up with some of the daily tasks around the community like watering plants, picking up litter, making keys for move-ins, along with many more. While I’ve certainly got my hands full, I’m grateful for this opportunity as it constantly pushes me out of my comfort zone and ultimately has made me a better property manager.
