Today at the new property I worked with a leasing consultant and we worked together to run the apartment community for the day and I was able to learn some new things and new ways to do some things from her as well.

Today we had an intern event with the regional director and the area directors for the Colorado region, we went on a hike in the mountains and it was a very cool experience and nice to get to know the area directors and regional director.

Today I started working at a new property than I was working at before since the property that I was originally supposed to be at is under construction, so I am getting to experience many different properties and I get to learn from many different people!

Today I worked with two other leasing agents for the day and got to experience some of what it is like to take care of a property and any issues that resident’s might have as well as showing future residents apartments.

Today I worked with the maintenance staff at a different property to get an apartment ready for the people who are moving in tomorrow, this was a good experience to see what goes into getting apartments ready for move in.

Today I learned how to do move in inspections before people are moving in for the next day to make sure that everything is in proper condition and record any imperfections. This is what we do to ensure that our resident’s new apartment home is perfect for them.

Today, my second day of work, we had Weidner cares day which is when everybody who works for Weidner volunteers for a day! We volunteered at a homeless shelter called Urban Peak where we did heavy cleaning and revamped their outdoor areas as well as painting inside and out!
